About CESAR_LCPC
CESAR-LCPC is a general purpose finite element package dedicated to Civil engineering applications. Since the release of version 4, CESAR-LCPC has a state-of-the-art graphical user interface allowing easy 2D and 3D pre- and post-processing.
CESAR-LCPC package encompasses all computational aspects of civil engineering structures; it has been designed, developed and validated by France's Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussées (LCPC), the national research laboratory for roads and bridges (www.lcpc.fr).

Complex structures require more sophisticated finite element capabilities to avoid over-simplification.
CESAR-LCPC provides a large choice of elements:
- Two or three dimensional solids: Triangular and quadrilateral (T3, T6, Q4, Q8) Hexahedral and tetrahedral solids (P6, P15, H8, H20), wedges
- Shell and beams: Linear or non-linear behavior of beams with multi-material section (reinforced concrete) may be considered using special elements, named "multi-fibers". In this type of modeling, beam section is decomposed in several fibers sets. Each may have its own specific behaviour.
- Point elements: strut, elastic support and etc
- Linear relations: fixed displacements and etc.
